Although it is 2,500 years old it is currently one of the most famous surviving structures of Ancient Greece and it portrays the intricate and dramatic detail incorporating both the Doric and Ionic orders. Nevertheless, it is important to realize that it not only stands as a significant aspect of Greek culture but it is also representative of Ancient Greek customs, beliefs, and the vast knowledge that they carried for architecture and mathematics.
