The purpose of this investigation is to analyze the effects Soviet aid had upon China and North Korea during the Korean War. The research question “To what extent did Stalin's military and financial aid to China during the Korean War (1949-1953) affect the result of the war in North Korea?” will be answered.
The main body of evidence seeks to answer the extent at which the military aid and financial aid provided either hindered and/or assisted the Chinese and North Koreans during the war. Moreover, the narrow scope of the question primarily focuses on the Soviet aid given to the north during the Korean War between the time period of 1949-1953. Only the aid given to the north is being analyzed with brief mentioning of the south in order to express how the aid assisted or hindered the progression of the war.
