Sam had told me that he arrived here the States in the year of 2011. When he first arrived to the States, just like other students from the Asian immigrant Students discourse community, his mind was fulfilled with dream for the bright future that he assume he might have, but sometimes things just wouldn’t work out the same way as you might have imagined and Sam’s experience is a great example. In real life, me as the writer does actually know him in person, we been friend for many years, Therefore, I actually know what is going on as he have told me in the past. In addition, when Sam first arrived to the States, he when to Texas because his parents believe the place is more suitable area to set up a home. He had told me that when he first arrived, he doesn’t like to talk much in the school, because frankly China the county he originally doesn’t exactly speaks English, this isn’t because in China’s school don’t teach English to the students, they do; but just isn’t the main priority for Chinese students and wasn’t quiet as important compare with Chinese and Math. …show more content…
Moreover, he was the only student on the campus that speaks Chinese, so there is no one could help him out if he had any problem. In addition, you might imagine because there is no one could offer any help, he might able to learn English really quickly, that was not the case because Sam was so shy he hardly talk to anyone sit near to him, for six month he has not talk to anyone sitting near him. Therefore, because he doesn’t understand and doesn’t know how to speak up for himself, it has given some people an idea to bullying him. In the beginning he just ignore them since he doesn’t understand a word they say to him, but even still he still can feel the emotion coming from people who had bullying
