Where: Seabourn Elementary School, 1st graders The purpose of this week's observation was to observe if my mentor had a Code Red plan, and I came to see that she does. My mentor is prepared for the unexpected. Her code red plan is to lock the doors, turn off the lights, get the kids away from the door and windows and somewhere dark and safe. If a code red does happen she will do these procedures and put the kids under her desk or in the closet somewhere safe from the predator.
Not only will she hide them somewhere safe, but as a teacher she will let her students know what’s going on and that they need to be quiet and not play around. Even though they are just little
