How is Mary Call and her siblings reason for breaking into a house okay but Goldilocks’ is not. “It’s not latched. “We couldn’t take anything, if we did it’d be stealing,” Mary Call said this on page 35. During this scene they were in Kiser’s house after helping him and Romey wanted to take some of his food because he figured they deserved it. Mary Call did put up a fight but in the end they stole food but still left an IOU note. Goldilocks went into the three bears house and ate their food. They both were in the wrong even if Mary Call left a IOU note it still wasn’t right to steal something that wasn’t theirs and without asking.
During this the roles were reversed in a way. “A huge black bear with a brute face and wide open arms.” Mary Call said this on page 140. Mary Call saw this when Romey put a fake stuffed bear out to scare away Mrs.Connell who was trying to come when she was unwanted. Goldilocks saw the same thing when she was woken up by a bear rightfully so considering she was in their bed. The bear wasn’t meant for Mary and them but the bear was meant to be seen by Goldilocks. Both bears scared the life out of the people they were meant to scare.
As you can see both stories have very similar scenes but just changes some by the uniqueness of each individual story. Where The Lilies Bloom is overall a very different story then Goldilocks and the Three Bears but somehow they can be tied together. This was all important by showing how stories you would never even think to be alike can be very alike in some
