The Dogs That Gave Him Joy
In the story and film of, “Where The Red Fern Grows” the author talks about the life of a young boy named Billy Coleman. It’s a story about Billy and the love that he had for both of his dogs. Even though it is the same story, the film and the book have many differences between them. At the age of only eleven, he decided he would begin to raise money to be able to buy the two hounds he had been wanting for a long time. He worked for two years to raise all the money he needed to buy the dogs. After that is when his real journey begins. One huge difference is that in the film Billy does not win the coon hunt, Mr. Kyle is the winner. In the book, Billy won the conn hunt and
