Abstract 1) This abstract fulfilled its role in giving the reader a brief yet clear indication of the articles purpose and contents. All outstanding findings were covered in order with clear factual statements. The report looks into the effects of hydrolysed whey isolate (WI) verses casein (C) on strength training, body composition and plasma glutamine level in the body. Stated in the abstract are the methods of testing, supplementation protocols, time frame, variables, and results. The results showed that the subjects supplementing with (WI) had a significant increase in lean tissue and reduction in fat mass in comparison to the subjects supplementing with (C) whom only had slight positive changes in both, plasma glutamine levels in both groups experiencing no noticeable change following completion of the test (Cribb, Williams, Carey, & Hayes, 2006). Information being given so factually and in a comprehensive manner in this abstract was an encouragement to continue reading the full article. That being said some readers may find that in reading only the abstract all the information was presented and there is no real reason to read through the entire contents.
