The Loser Edit Whitehead defines a loser edit as that person that is due to fail, a plausible argument that he says explains the failure that is bound to happen. He gives an example using some of the contestants that participate in TV reality shows, saying that viewers usually know what is about to happen when they hear that one of the contestants is going home (Whitehead 412).
