Who am I?
Growing up, I never thought of myself as being a person who would one day lead others, but now I’m in the United States Army serving on active duty as a Senior Enlisted Advisor. In the following paragraphs I will disclose a brief depiction about myself and how my journey has lead me through my life experiences, and the positive influences that has helped me to reach my goals.
I was born in 1977 in the city of Jones, Florida and grew up in Gainesville. The only boy with both parents working to provide for our family, I was often left on my own. In fact, this was my lifestyle until I had gotten older and attended Homestead Senior High School where I began to make friends. I think is when I began to come out of my shell. Following graduation of High School I enlisted in the Army. Afterward, I’ve never stayed with my parents again. I traveled all over and I’ve lived in Colorado, Germany and other various bases. I’ve even had tours to the Middle East, Saudi and Australia.
While living with my parents, we never had the means or money to travel. In fact, my parents were average “blue collar” workers. They both worked often and really hard to get additional hours to make ends meet. Even though my parents worked a great deal; the time they did have they made it for me. During that time, they both taught me so much. Equally important, I also gained responsibility while participating
