Out of all seven stories in Midwinterblood by Marcus Sedgwick, I believe the seventh story is the most powerful. Story seven, Midwinterblood, ties all the missing details and loose ends of the novel together and sums up the main storyline. The end of the seventh story is horrific and grabs the emotions of the reader. Eric exclaims to Merle that this is his first life of seven and that he will look and love Merle in each life he lives. Which makes all the stories fit and match each other to make one attention grabbing and affectionate novel.
