First, Mercutio is the best foil of Romeo before the Capulet party when Romeo told his dream to Mercutio and Romeo seems to have positive attitudes about his dream and he asks to Mercutio what he dreams last night. Mercutio responds : " Dreamers often lie". This means that Romeo believes in the dreams, but Mercutio doesn't cares to much about it.
Another example is after the Capulet party when Romeo says: " I'm worried we'll get there too early. I have a feeling this party tonight will be the start of something bad."
