In my personal opinion, Edgar Allen Poe died of an overdose of alcohol. I believe that this is one of the most likely reasons why he died. If we analyze alcohol, violence and mystery were always part of almost all his stories. In addition, Poe had a history of being alcoholic and also a little manipulative. Equally important, I think that each of his stories told a little bit about him and his life.
