Who was Diane Nash? What was her role in continuing the Freedom Rides?
Diana Nash was college student and freedom rider that was called to stop the freedom riders because of potential danger waiting for them in Birmingham. She understood that one of the Riders could potentially lose their lives, but was willing to take the risk behind her stance on non-violence and freedom from racial segregation. She influenced the continuation of the freedom ride because she told government officials that they were not going to stop, and that they had already basically signed their lives away for the cause.
