The 1930’s election simulation ended in a victory for the communist party thanks to votes from the unemployed and women. These groups voted purely based on the campaign and the offers that the communist party presented to them. The strategy of the communist party throughout the debate was to appeal to as many voters as possible while making sense. “The communist party appealed to specific groups and focused on the larger demographic” this was said by Tiffany Costas who was a french voter. Most leaders and voters mentioned that the order of speech was the deciding factor of the debate. “ Time was minimal so I couldn't express all of my thoughts” Jessica who was the leader of the Union Nationale, Tiffany Costas also mentioned that last person to talk was the most memorable. Leaders also got cut off multiple times which prevented them from stating all their thoughts. Some others mentioned that the structure played no part. Something I personally noticed was the demographic setup of the voter groups, for example back then the majority consisted of unemployed citizens and a minority of rich people as seen in the election. These sources can all be trusted as everything was observed first hand and the same things were said by multiple people. The overall factor that led to the victory of the communist party was the great person theory, as said by many sources the communist leader was charismatic, confident and open.
