Introduction
Friedrich Nietzsche was the German philosopher in the late 1800s who exclaimed “God is dead” in his famous book, The Gay Science. He believed that people throughout their lifetime have killed God and he remains dead. Psalms 10:1-7 says that the wicked are those who state “God is dead.” They will have nothing to do with God, and will not care about Him. The wicked may spend the majority of their time wondering and trying to dissect the beliefs in Christianity. His goal was to tear apart the Christian belief and to try to prove the Word of God as wrong. His atheism spread to many people and influenced their view of Christianity. He redirected people’s attention …show more content…
He believed that future after death is more important than the past because the present is now. Nietzsche’s thoughts are that the enjoyment of the present world is far better than what the afterlife of man could be. The Kingdom of God is far more exciting than anything people could enjoy in present day. Nietzsche did not understand that through repentance he would be in paradise in Heaven. Psalms states that only the wicked ask why God hides himself when He is right in front of them. Nietzsche believed that life, creativity, and power can be the most important thing in life. He says that nothing can stand in the way of these things. While Psalms states that only the wicked state that God is dead, Friedrich Nietzsche believes that the people have stopped believing in God, therefore, He is dead (Stanford).

Psalms 10:1-7 teaches that only the wicked are those who say the Lord is dead and believe He left and no longer remains in the presence of His people. They do not put any time into learning sincerely about God, but learn to tear apart the Christian faith. Nietzsche did this very thing as he tore apart the faith of many Christians as he converted them to be an atheist. He pronounced that God no longer exists because the people have turned their backs from Him. Psalms greatly contradicts the belief of Friedrich stating the exact opposite of the message Nietzsche was presenting. It speaks of the wicked thoughts spoken from the men who are away from the Lord and are trying to pick apart the Christians. These two references are opposites to what they are deciding to side with. Nietzsche believed that God will never come back into our lives and we should forget about anything concerning Him. Nietzsche believed that God will never come back into the lives of people and should forget about anything concerning Him. He wants the people to focus on the present life instead of heaven that might be available to people who trust in God after their death. Christians believe that people should focus on getting others to believe in God so that they may join the people which are in Heaven one day. Nietzsche did not care about the afterlife of humans which resulted in a negative end result believing in God. Christians need to
