Due to being exiled and then eventually dying off Vladimir Lenin’s control shifted from his hands to those of Joseph Stalin’s; Lenin wanted control of the economy and to improve industry- due to this he implemented War Communism and NEP through his tenure. Nevertheless, even though the principles of the practices opposed each other they nonetheless had the same goal; economic repair. The social democratic parties aim was to overthrow the czar- policies that were introduced stated “Peace.Land.Bread.” Moreover, between the years 1918 to 1921 the economic system in Russia was known as War Communism the system had been introduced as a solution to the Economic damage the Civil War had caused during the Civil War in Russia. Furthermore, in the early months of 1921 the Civil War had been concluding which had been the best time to introduce the NEP, or the New Economic Plan this system offered more flexibility due to its limited capitalist structure, and highlighted the payment of wages and had been more opposed to the communist values War Communism had been bound under and ultimately NEP offered Economic Relief from Russia. …show more content…
