Lastly the cups with the water and alka-seltzer ½ of hot water will be poured into each cup, following that, two alka-seltzer will be dropped into each cup. After labeling and setting up all the cups, dropping in a couple of pieces of raisins into each of the different cups with different solutions would take place and the same with the pasta pieces. What a surprise we encountered as we watched the the raisins fall straight to the bottom of the cup. Who would have thought that the raisins would have fell straight to the bottom if they were suppose to stay at the top to dance. The reason as to why they were so quick in falling is because of the density of the raisins. The raisins density is much higher than that of the water causing the raisins to be weighed down. Just when we thought the dance party was not going to happen. The next problem that was encounter as to why the raisins were not just yet dancing is because the structure of the raisins consisted of a jagged outer texture that caused the raisins to fill with patches of air.
