Where do you Want to go?

If you could go anywhere in the world where would it be? Would it be Cuba, Greece, or somewhere in your own country? Would you go somewhere that had a different food variety, culture, or even where your own heritage comes from? I would go to Ireland, for many different reasons. Including the food, heritage, and culture. The main reason I would want to go to is for my heritage.

My ancestors are from Ireland and Scotland (mostly Ireland). Ireland has a rich and interesting history, which ties into my family. For a prime example, the “Perry Clan” (Irish clan; mother’s side) originated in both Ireland and Scotland. The Perry family bloodline runs straight from Ireland all the way here to the United States. When there was a great potato famine in Ireland many immigrants came to the US for a hope of a better life, including the Perry family. They also brought a rich culture to the US, that has helped shape the US’s present-day culture.

The Irish wear unique clothing that represents their culture and heritage. Irish people wear long pants and wool shirts with button up jackets. On occasion you may see an Irish wearing a kilt (man skirt) due to the history of Ireland which involves the Scottish (origin of the kilt). They were converted to Christianity many, many years ago. You may here the term Celtics, that is what many people call Irish Christians. Another part of the Irish culture that I find interesting is the sports that Irish play. Irish play a sport called hurling it is like the sport lacrosse. The object of the game is to use the wooden stick to hurl a small ball between the opponent's goalposts’.
