They argue that John was just standing up for the slaves and putting his life on the line for the betterment of the north. However, this idea is inadequate because in the process of achieving his goal he took the privilege of life away from many people this is something that can not be justified and is almost unforgivable. In addition, people argue that John Brown is a revolutionary and he only killed because he has a mental condition; thus it was hard for him to think clearly and make proper judgement. This argument is also invalid because he still could have put some thought process into his crazy decision. He also had his sons that could have stopped him from murdering the innocent men.
