Have you ever played any type of sport? If so, I’m sure you know what its like to want to win a state championship, it’s a dream most athletes have. I’ve dreamed about that moment since I started playing the game of softball at the age of eight. Its something that you have to push for from a little kid, it doesn’t just happen. Many days and hours go into becoming a better athlete everyday. When I was a little girl I started playing softball and worked my tail off for hours at a time to become better. At the time it was something I just enjoyed doing and I didn’t think much about it. I would get in the yard and throw with my dad until he couldn’t stand to be out there anymore. But the older I got the more it became something I wanted to go further in. I would go to the field to watch older girls play and I wanted to be just like them. I knew that I wanted to play school ball one day and maybe even college ball after that. I had love for the game. …show more content…
After the season the varsity coach asked me to move up and help the varsity team out. I ended up starting in right field and we made it all the way to state. When we got there we played our two games and went back to the house. I know I was young but it was one of the worst feelings. I knew that winning a state championship was something that I wanted to work towards with my team. It was a dream I had and so did all the other girls I’ve played with for years.
