Cesar Estrada Chavez was born on March 31, 1927 in Yuma, Arizona. He was a true inspiration towards farmers in California, Texas, Arizona, and Florida and gave them better conditions to work in. In 1962, he started the the National Farmers Association, which later merged with another group and became the “United Farm Workers.” Chavez is an important figure to remember in today’s society because of the sacrifices he made for others, his bravery for standing up for what is right, and because he made the world a better place. Cesar Chavez once said, “There’s no turning back… We will win. We are winning because ours is a revolution of mind and heart...”
