Hammurabi's family laws were unjust for many reasons. One being some of them lead to death or serious injury. According to law 129 if a married woman is caught committing adultery with another man they will be tied together and thrown into the water. this is unjust because you don't want to kill people in such a harsh way for something you should just be imprisoned for. As law 195 says if a son were to strike his father his hands shall be cut off. This is unjust because if a son has a mental health issue and needs anger management and he doesn't get it then he might get overheated and hit his dad. They are unjust because some people may lose their property,money,or life. Stated in law 21 if a man has broken a wall to rob the house he will either be pierced or be hung from the hole he made in the wall. This is unjust because today if you break a wall and steal from there you will go to jail not be murdered. According to law 48 if a man borrowed money from another man and his fields are flooded he does not have to pay his creditor that year. This is unjust because if the creditor does not get his money back then he could go bankrupt. In law 23 if a robber is not caught the person who was robbed shall tell a god what he has lost and it shall be replaced.
