Who invented the first man made flying object? Two very smart brother’s named Wilbur and Orville. They are most known for creating the first man made flying object also known as the airplane .They were considered the fathers of modern aviation. Together they became national heroes, inspiring people all over the world to be creative and to take risks. Both brothers were pioneers and inventors. Born 4 years apart, the Wright brothers grew up in a small town in Ohio. They both loved science and shared a curiosity for it.They grew up wanting to learn more and more about science. Wilbur was born April 16, 1867, near Millville, Indiana. Wilbur was the middle child of five children.Wilbur and Orville were the best of friends as children. Orville Wright was born August 19, 1871. Their father, Milton Wright was a bishop in the Church of the United Brethren in Christ.Their mother was Susan Catherine Koerner. Milton’s preaching lead him to the road frequently. He had great plans for after high school he wanted to go to Yale University. In the winter of 1885-86 he was badly hurt. He was injured in a hockey game when another player’s stick hit him in the face. This injury plunged Wilbur into depression.
