The geographic area for this Windshield Study is the boundaries of:
• North – Grand Road
• South - University Blvd
• East – Campbell Ave
• West – Euclid Ave
• Time – This study took place on a weekday morning between 9am and 12PM
Housing
• Type – Primarily block construction. Many had additional small homes on their lot. These were usually wood frame construction. Homes are maintained. However, as we moved further toward Grand Road the homes appear to have more trash and weeds in the yard. They also tend to have more dirt, rather than grass.
• Age – It appeared most of the homes were built in the 1930’s. Some construction seemed to have been completed in the 1960’s.

This park is adjacent to UMC and is intended for individuals able to go outside to be able to enjoy themselves outside of the hospital for a while.
Commons
• University of Arizona Recreation Center - Large area with plenty of activities. It has been recently built in 2009 and has state of the art work out equipment.
• University of Arizona- there are plenty of rooms that you can take hold of and meet with peers about whatever needs to be discussed.
• The Mall - An open field within U of A for students and other members of the community to sit and discuss whatever issues may arise. Or sit and listen to music or play catch.
• Euclid and University – An area of several restaurants, bars and shops that cater to the college age individuals.
Open Space
• The only open space in the area was on the south side of Grant Road. This area was full of weeds, had large mounds of dirt, had litter strewn throughout, and had broken glass scattered through it length. This area stretched for the entire length of our boundary. It is noticeable for it fallen trees breaking and all access points were blocked off with large pieces of broken
