One day, Winnie the Pooh was walking through the Hundred Acre Wood when he comes upon a fir cone that fell and hit his head. Scooping up the cone, Pooh begins to create a short rhyming poem that reflects his sweetly innocent and simply amiable nature. After tripping and losing the cone in a trickling river, Pooh invents a game called Poohsticks, which he later enjoys getting to play with his friends. One day, while Pooh, Roo, Piglet, and Rabbit are playing Poohsticks, Eeyore floats by in the river, too depressed to get himself out. After a blundering attempt use a boulder to create ripples to push Eeyore out, Eeyore is reunited with his friends on the bank. Worried for Eeyore’s depressing attitude, Pooh goes to Eeyore to find out that it is Eeyore’s birthday and no one is there to celebrate with any cake or presents. Pooh goes on to his house to give Eeyore a pot for putting useful things in (after eating the honey). Piglet runs to give Eeyore a red balloon, but in his hurry, he accidentally pops the balloon. Despite the balloon being ruined, Eeyore is touched by the red balloon and a useful pot to put it into and loves the gifts. At Eeyore’s party with Christopher Robin and all of the other animals, Rabbit wants to leave Tigger out for “bouncing” Eeyore into the river, but Christopher Robin includes
