In Response to the quote ‘women has power if she’s a villain’ in a disagreement towards this I believe that this is not true for women and men also. True power of a person is not always found within a villain, but also can be found within a hero of a story. A hero also can have the power and control that a villain does for when the point in some stories the hero defeats the villain. There is also the point of which a villain becomes the hero and defeats the greater villain behind them. In the movie ‘Maleficent’ the main character Maleficent starts out as a good person, then becomes evil, and back to good at the end. This can be concluded with the fact of where she still has all the power she had from being evil but more with her wings back. To back that up she overcame the darkness that lied in her heart, acknowledging her mistakes, which in the end helped her to achieve a greater power that became after reunited with her wings. With that said it almost says in this line ‘women has power if she’s a villain’, where if you think about it, it almost says that the hero women is weak then which is a lie. Maleficent was not weak as a hero and was strong enough to fend off the old king’s raid. That gave evidence to prove that a women is not weak. To back that statement up if Maleficent was weak she would have been dead, not to be sexist since she is strong as said previous. This can also be looked at where it is a man’s opinion on women where they think they are weak compared to them which is not always true. An example of this would be that King Stefan thinks he is unstoppable and that he will destroy Maleficent. This is an example of a sexist and bias opinion on the topic at hand since Maleficent does in the end kill Stefan. In the very end the quote can appear as sexist or not, it is just up to an individual’s opinion on
