The men and women of the Choctaw tribe had different and similar yet very important roles. For example, the women of the tribe are the main leaders when they aren’t in war and the men hunt.
Starting with the men of this tribe. The men took the job as the hunters; providing; the necessary meat and hides. The men were also the warriors who would protect their family and tribe during time of war. During war the chief would make the decisions, but during times of peace it was the women of the tribe who made most of the decisions.
