In the story Wonder, written by RJ Palacio, there is a young girl named Via,who is very brave in dealing with a lot of stuff through life.One of them are her younger brother named Auggie,who’s face is deformed.She always is sticking up for him.In the story she said,”Sometimes kids are stupid.”There are a lot of kids who could be nicer. In the short story ,“Raymond’s Run” ,written by Toni Cade Bambara,Squeaky,is a young character who has a brother that is older than her,Raymond,who is very short and has a lot of people pick on him.She always has to stick up for him.She can be very mean.One time she said to a girl who used to be her friend,”I always win cause im the best.”That is not the nicest thing to say.They are both caring,aware,and have a purpose for being in the story.I think they are both similar.
