Air bed and breakfast, also known as Airbnb, is one of the fastest growing companies within the hospitality industry. Since its establishment in 2008,
Airbnb now connects hosts and guests across the globe, having over 800,000 listings in 33,000 cities in 192 countries. It is a trusted community marketplace where hosts get to list their places, while guests get to discover and book unique accommodations around the world.
In this report, we will analyse the factors that made Airbnb so successful.
Secondly, we will discuss three things that traditional hotels can learn from the new entrants that have reshaped the hotel business model and value chain before closing with a conclusion.
