Also, the usage of statistics support the perspective presented in the extract: “The other 97 per cent”, “there were a million black farmers”, and “500 [small farmers] of whom go out of business every week.” Even though there is not much figurative language implied, we can find metaphor, such as “world trading system that is blind”, and personification, “[government] It look at the measurements of money”.
