There is no doubt that the World War I was the most consequential event in the 20th century and we can prove this statement from various aspects with substantive evidence. Firstly, it was the largest war ever seen for the first time. There were so many countries involved in the war and if countries were not directly involved in the war it was still affecting them. Also, the new technology and modern battle tactics had led to the horrific results and loss in WWI. It was the first war to use airplanes, tanks, submarines, poison gas, and many other advanced weapons and tactics. Thus, it killed more people and cost more money than any previous war in history.
