The “World War Z” (2013), directed by Marc Forster, is a movie that tells the story of an unexplained zombie outbreak which quickly expands worldwide. Besides its sensational action scenes, the movie has some important subjects such as the assimilation, Jerusalem and the main character Gerry Lane that should be examined closely. Encountering the zombies for the first time, the Lane family are helped by a Latino family. After Gerry tells that they should run away, because to him “movement is survival”, they are joined by this Latino family. However the family gets attack by zombies except their son Tomas who speaks English and could be considered as assimilated. This little but important detail can be the example of the assimilation to the
