The case Ingraham verses Wright was based upon James Ingraham. While in class Ingraham didn’t react fast enough to his teacher and was sent to the principal’s office. He was paddled by Willie J. Wright, his principal. He was assisted by the assistant principal, Lemmie Deliford, and the principal’s assistant, Solomon Barnes. Ingraham was spanked on the bottom more than twenty times, he had to seek medical attention, and suffered a hematoma. A hematoma is a solid swelling of clotted blood within the tissues.
