A decade from now, the world as we know it will dramatically change. Ever since I was young, I have been an enthusiast for science fiction. Growing up watching movies such as Star Wars, The Terminator, Transformers, and WALL-E, I was immediately captivated into the field of Artificial Intelligence (AI). AI has absolutely ignited my intellectual curiosity. It is fascinating that I will revolutionize the world with my childhood fantasies. The research opportunities will institute a more peaceful way of life, solving crises that are yet to be solved.
Based on science fiction, most people might assume AI just involves robots; however, AI is prevalent in numerous areas: Communication, education, Medicine, Infrastructure, Social Media. Future development in these areas will promote a more efficient way of living. …show more content…
From online and personal research, AI is the development of intelligent machines that perform tasks to mimic human intelligence. Some of these mimicked tasks are speech recognition, visual perception, translation between languages, and decision making. AI is already used in everyday life.
