One of those people is Jack Gruener who was also known as Yanek Gruener. At age 14 he was living in a ghetto with his family just at the dawn of the war. Him and his family were under the worst conditions 3 imaginable when, the unthinkable happened. He was taken to a concentration camp where he would never see his family again. He went to 10 concentration camps where he was treated like a dog that disobeyed his owner. He was whipped, beaten, and his cellmates were killed right in front of him. He made a friend once named Fred. When Fred got sick because of one of the guards getting sick, he was beaten to death because of his inability to do work.
