World Wrestling Entertainment’s main focus is their newly investment, the WWE network. The WWE network is an internet library, similar to Netflix, full of professional wrestling content the company owns in their library. Their library consists of footage from disbanded companies, such as WCW and WCCW. In addition, World Wrestling Entertainment’s network includes original content, such as “Legends House”, an originally programmed show that consists of “old-school” professional wrestling personas living under one room for a period of time.
As of today, World Wrestling Entertainment’s goal is to have at least 1 million individuals subscribe to the network by the end of this year. According to their internal data, the network has approximately 700,000 subscribers to the WWE Network. World Wrestling Entertainment is doing everything they can in order to obtain more subscribers to the network.
Market the Network on their television shows (Raw, Smackdown, Etc.): Raw has approximately 4 million viewers worldwide; Smackdown has around 2 million viewers. While marketing the network to the live audience and the television audience, have the characters and personas talk about the WWE Network and the upcoming events that’ll be on the WWE network, such as WrestleMania and summer slam. Let them all know they will be a part of the original programming. In addition, the commentators can discuss the network and who’s all on the network, such as past professional wrestlers like The Rock and “Stone Cold” Steve Austin. Shove the network and the monthly price ($9.99 per month) down the audience’s throats! They should be reminded on which video game consoles and digital media platform the network can be watched on.
Millions, possibly billions of people surf on the Internet. World Wrestling Entertainment can advertise on websites, such as pro wrestling and sports websites in order to promote and marketing the website to current and past
