This article was helpful because it gave a good outlook on black feminist. It also gave information on people’s outlook on the African American race which in this article talks about how females were look upon. The way female African American woman were look upon was totally different from how they treated males. In this article it explains racialization in the literary and cultural sense of how things were in the nineteenth century. This article was helpful because it gives example of a relationship. It gives some insight on the relationship with Rufus and Dana. In my thesis it talks about certain type’s relationship. It talks about an African American women and a white male, this relationship is considered to be interracial. In my thesis it talks about interracial marriages so this helps me out in my research because it is more information and examples I can use.

This article gives good information because I can use this to see her views on certain things and apply it to my research I have already. In this article it talks about racial amnesia and different opportunities she had and challenges as well. Part of my thesis talks about love through different relationships. And in this article it helps with her views on how people were treated such as whites and blacks.
