Yelena must make a choice: a quick death or a slow poison
After murdering the General’s son, Yelena is sent to the noose but like any other prisoner; she is offered the chance to live again, but as a food tester for the Commander of Ixia. She will be living the luxurious life, eating delicious meals, sleeping in the softest beds, but risking death by anyone trying to poison the Commander.
And so Yelena takes up the offer to live again and becomes the food tester. However, the Commander’s assassin, Valek, makes sure there is some insurance. Each day, Valek feeds Yelena Butterfly Dust, a poison that causes a slow agonizing death. She must appear daily for the antidote to delay the excruciating death from the poison.
