In “Yes I’m in a Clique,” Nathan Black writes about the concept of being in a clique. Obviously the author argues that they have value and are not “an entirely negative aspect of the high school social structure.” I disagree with his opinion because in high school there are some students that are in negative cliques. One drawback of being in a clique is feeling a part of a group that has the wrong influence on you. For example, in high school, there are many students that feel the need to be a part of a clique. In a clique, there is always a leader of the group. The group leader decides who can be part of the clique. Sometimes you don’t even pick the clique it just happens.
