Everybody hates congress due to the fact that they fail at caring for people. The government fails society day by day in hopes that they can gain a leg up, to do for themselves while the rest of us are left in the dust. For example, “Meanwhile, the Centers for Disease Control said last week that money to fight Zika is running out.” Why is it that we always find enough money for petty things such as, going into war & jazz playing robots? Perhaps, it's because the Zika virus is a virus that can extremely harm the population, and it's been made very clear that the government wants lots of people out due to our overpopulating species. Maybe, just maybe, the government isn't taking immense control over this issue because they want the virus to breakout. Not to mention, the virus has become a woman's…show more content… Another example of congress and the government failing in general, is the exploitation of guns and violence. “Every day, 306 people in America are shot in murders, assaults, suicides & suicide attempts, unintentional shootings, and police intervention. Every day, 90 people die from gun violence: 31 are murdered. 56 kill themselves.” How many mass shootings is it going to take for our government to take gun control seriously? How many broken families and broken hearts is it going to take for us to shape up? There were 372 mass shootings in America just in 2015 alone. We need to come to the realization that we are not a progressive and respectful enough society to comprehend the severity and responsibility it comes with to hold a gun. The right to bare arms has embedded itself into the minds of people who turn to violence when something goes wrong. Come to think of it, it's almost inevitable for violence to decrease or become obsolete in a world that glamorizes guns and violence.
