Comparatively, a better alternative to zoos for housing animals are national parks. Whereas zoos constrict their animals’ living spaces, national parks allow animals to roam the land as they please. National parks do not forcefully mate their animals as zoos do, but let the animals decide if, when, and where they want to mate. It is also against the law for animals to be hunted in national parks; hence, animals are safer in national parks than in the wild.
