In D.A.R.E., I learned about tobacco, marijuana, alcohol, and peer pleasure. I learned that they all have negative and positive effects. I learned that each one is different and has its own unique set of properties. In this report, I am going to tell everything except peer pressure.
Tobacco is drug that can be deadly if you smoke or chew it over time. Tobacco is usually found in cigarettes or cigars, but it can also be found in chewing tobacco. Tobacco over time causes breathing problems, effects body growth, causes cancer, heart disease, and over time, death. Tobacco doesn’t just cause death, but it also effects pollution. And it doesn’t just affect the smoker, but it can affect everyone around that person. Remember, people who smoke cigarettes aren’t cool.
Remember the last paragraph when we talked about tobacco? There is something worst. Marijuana. Marijuana is also a drug, but more deadly. Marijuana is just like tobacco, but marijuana is illegal and marijuana smoke contains 50% to 70% more cancer causing chemicals then tobacco smoke. This means that marijuana smokers even have a higher risk of getting cancer.
The last thing I am going to talk about today is alcohol. Alcohol isn’t as deadly as marijuana or tobacco, but if you abuse it will be. Alcohol is also another type of drug that is found in cocktails, beer, wine, or shots. Shots are like small types of pure alcohol like whiskey or vodka. Shots of alcohol are
