Rational decision is a state of being agreeable to reasons. The correct decision is not just reasoned but it is also optimal for solving a problem. Mr Weekes, the operation manager, employed series of analytical steps to review possible outcomes for problems by discussing it with managers to come up withdevise particular courses of action.

Moreover, they should be transparent and involved in resolving issues, not just ask questions regarding what the matter is and how that is getting solved. He would like to know the reason why, and what was being done about it”. On the other hand Mr. Weekes was limited with his decisions because the complexity of the situation made it difficult for him to anticipate all issues. Secondly, the change that Datasil U.S top management came with was not an effective action plan. They were not successful at creating a disciplined effort to produce decisions and actions that were effective in making some very important stakeholders happy especially employees and customers. Their action plan was not effective because there was a disconnection between the vision of senior management and the daily operational tactics of Datasil Inc.
