More time for learning new things: By taking shorter breaks students tend to remember information instead of forgetting it over a longer break. Students are strongly improving their education,“ year-round school programs take a series of shorter breaks throughout the year “(Kelly). Parents being able to save money from camps and other activities.This also benefits low income student families. Reducing class sizes (over crowded classes). ”Frequent breaks are good for students.” (Peters) Therefore, year round school helps students improve their education. Since students have improved by year round schooling, students should switch to year round schooling. In addition, those who don't believe that year round schooling is better studies show that year round schooling had kids get higher scores. By having weeks off every now and then in the school year, that helps the students get a break and refresh their minds, which improves their grades. Some parents and students don't want to give up their long breaks and change their schedules. Year-round education also causes problems for students when they want to work, if their job is all day or all night, they'll have trouble focusing on their studies. “However there is nothing to look forward to, like summer break, eventually leading to students burning out from the excessive work.”(Presson) When there's no summer break, students have nothing to look forward to. Students having a few weeks off is better for their education and they actually enjoy it and are okay with it, going all year round is really beneficial. Although some people believe year round schooling is a bad idea & interferes with summer, in actuality year round schooling gives more options for vacations. Year-round schooling gives more options for vacations by giving students a few weeks off, making up for going all year with no summer. Year-round schooling involves an entire school using the same calendar and getting the same holidays/breaks off. According to Petters, “One student said, “I love it. Just about the time I'm really tired, I get a break” (Petters). This claims that some students are pleased & in favor of year round schooling.
