US innovations during the early 1800s and late 1900s paved the way for further technological advancements. Many businesses were replacing workers with machines because they were able to produce things a lot quicker than what could be done by hand. The development of the telegraph and railroads greatly enhanced communication and transportation. Not only that, but typewriters and cameras lead the United States to economic superiority. This resembles modern United States because we are replacing human labor with machines at an alarming rate.
