American Constitution was created in 1787 and was ratified one year later. From that time on, it has shaped the American democracy. In 1791, the Bill of Rights was ratified. Since that, another 17 amendments were ratified, so nowadays in the USA, there are 27 amendments to the American Constitution. The Eighteen Amendment to the American Constitution was passed by Congress on 18th December 1917, its ratification in 1919. Each state had one year to ratify the Eighteen Amendment.
