4.4 Explain the importance of accurate and clear record keeping. It is very important that nurses stay informed concerning the lawful requirement and best practice in record keeping. With clear and accurate nursing records of patient, it gives a right account of the treatment and care given and allows good exchanging of information between you and your colleagues and finally the patient you looking after. It is also used to identify problems when there are any investigations or legal cases that have arisen and action taken to correct them.
