A societal issue today that affects others is inequality. Inequality is when people are not treated as equals. Inequality in gender is a major thing because men and women are not treated as equals or they don’t see themselves as equals. Men have more advantages in getting a higher paying job than women. When facing inequality in women and men it can go even deeper to religion, race, sexual orientation, etc. These things can affect both men and women because then they are not treated fairly after knowing these things. People assume that people who practice certain religions are bad people. Also, with race people assume the worst in others. Then with sexual orientation people do not like the fact that two people of the same gender can like each other because of their beliefs. In “the Wife of Bath”, men and women don’t see themselves as equals.
