A standardized test is any form of a test that requires all test takers to answer the same questions in the same way, and is scored in a standard or consistent manner. This makes it possible to compare eh relative performance of individual students or groups of students. The ACT and SAT are representations of what a student should know and the critical thinking required on these tests are needed in to succeed in the college classroom. The tests prepare kids for what college is like and also how the real world is.
