What Hitler is implying in this quote is that you can brainwash people into thinking something dreadful is something of great value, as when something wonderful is seen full of hate. Hitler was important in American history because he spent most of his life fighting and overpowering all of Germany, although Hitler used his outstanding leadership skills in a bad way he will never be forgotten.
